Winter

The Agordino basin offers endless opportunities to enjoy winter sports among the fabulous landscapes of the Dolomites, ranging from downhill and cross-country skiing to snowboarding and snowshoeing.

The jewel in the crown of the area is the Dolomiti Superski complex, the largest in Europe, with 1200 kilometres of runs where snow is always guaranteed. Within the Alpe Lusia-San Pellegrino Ski Area, the complex winds its way around Falcade – San Pellegrino Pass and Moena, connected by the skilifts.

A large variety of runs are available, suitable for everyone from beginners to experts. Thrill-seekers will love the brand-new La Volata run, a black-level slope that sweeps down from Col Margherita to the San Pellegrino Pass, with slopes of 50% and an altitude difference of 600 metres.

Access to the ski area is facilitated by the new Le Buse Cableway, an ultra-modern facility with 8-person cabins closed with large windows that leads to the runs in 6 minutes, with an altitude difference of 700 metres.

The Agordino basin offers endless opportunities to enjoy the unspoilt nature of the Unesco Dolomites: dog sleddingsnowboardingcarvingtelemark and ice climbing can be alternated with activities suitable for families and children, such as trips by snowmobile, or more romantic horse-drawn sledges.

Thewoods in the Biois Valley offers fantastic opportunities for cross-country skiing, a tradition that goes back a long way in the valleys of the Agordino area; in the Biois Valley in particular, there are 40 kilometres of trails with perfect snow cover all the time.
